A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk 140.029 | Full Set

This A. Lange & Soehne Zeitwerk, Ref. 140.029 from 2017 is in excellent, near mit overall condition. Has been barely and carfully worn by it’s first owner. The 42 millimeter whitegold case shows no dings or scratches, only some light swirls are visible with the loupe. Could be easily polished out, on request. I leave it as is. Overall condition 98 of 100%. The Zeitwerk is Lange’s most unique complication, featuring a “digital” display (showing the time with numbers). Like many other Lange designs, it drew inspiration from the 5 Minute Clock in the Semper Opera House in Dresden.
While it looks simple, the watch is powered by the manual winding movement calibre L043.1, that is nothing short of extraordinary. While ordinary watch hands require a steady flow of power, the digital display requires the power to be released in very short, precise bursts to advance the hour and minute wheels. As a result, a “remontoire” system is used to collect power and release it at regular intervals.
Watch was first sold on 29.04.2017 in Paris. The set includes: Double box, carton box, booklet, certificate, engraving certificate for the balance cock and a copy of the original purchase invoice.
Differential-taxation according to §25A UStG.
