Eine sehr schöne Rolex Sea-Dweller 16660, Triple Six mit Seriennummer 6334xxx aus dem Jahr 1980. Das matte MK1 Zifferblatt ist ohne Schwächen, alle Tritium Leuchtpunkte im leichten Vanilleton sind perfekt erhalten. Die Leuchtmasse der Zeiger passt passen farblich perfekt zum Blatt. Lünetteneinlage ist wunderschön ins bläuliche gealtert, die Perle ist allerdings späteren Datums und mit Superluminova belegt.
Das Gehäuse wurde in der Vergangenheit sicher schon mal poliert, zeigt aber viel Material rundum. Ich habe aufgrund des sehr schönen Gesamtzustands darauf verzichtet, die Uhr nochmals auffrischen zu lassen. Dies kann auf Wunsch des zukünftigen Besitzers aber gerne gemacht werden.
This 16660 has a flawless Mark I matte dial, with all lume plots fully intact and color matching hands, both Tritium, no damage or waekness on the dial. Both aged in an even vanilla tone. Bezel inlay has aged in a beautiful blueish tone the only little down-turn is the SL pearl. Case has been polished in the past, but is still in very good fat condition, with slight signs of use. Comes with a 83160 bracelet and 592 endlinks, full 12 segments and divers extension in good condition with resonable stretch, good for another decade to wear. Bracelet itself appears to be original with the watch, clasp is a later sevice replacement with code S U6 (1998). It is not uncommon that these clasps break with the years. They will not be repaired, just replaced, nowadays only in exchange with the original part, that will by kept by Rolex.
Watch comes with it’s original box, and has received an recent Rolex service with service card – so no issues within the next 2 year thanks to the Rolex service guarantee.
Verdict: An amazing 16660 with beautiful mit Mark I dial and cool bezel inlay.
