This Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665, serial 5721xxx from 1978 in excellent overall condition. Case is in very good, fat condition with thick bevels and Rolex Cologne polish. I guess it has only been polished once during that Rolex service in 2001. All numbers are perfectly readable, with no signs of corrosion visible. 1665 / 5.721.xxx – Cal. 1570 / D824xxx – bracelet: S T6 / reference 93150 / 585. Bracelet shows some wear but has virtually no stretch and the correct 585 endlinks. During the service at Rolex Cologne a Superluminova (SL) package has been installed. Hands, Dial and pearl have been replaced. This quite rare dial is in flawless condition and is marked Tritium, T<25 but in fact SL is used. This watch is the perfect Vintage compagnion, more than 40 years old, but due to the SL the luminous it is lighting the all night, what is not working on a Tritium dial. It is widely assumed that Rolex used old stock dials that were originally beeing intended to be set with Tritium luminous. I guess there are not too many of these dials out in the wild.
Comes with the original Rolex service receipt from December 2001 and a green Rolex Service pouch (not pictured).
