I am offering a beautiful Rolex Submariner 16800 transitional model with serial 957xxxx, dating it back to 1986, in good overall condition. Watch has received a Rolex service through AD Juwelier Meyer in 2016. Has a mint gloss dial, with Tritium luminous indices, marked Swiss T<25 Tritium. Hands and bezel inlay have been replaced to original Rolex SL parts. Minute hand only had some slight damage of the luminous and bezel inlay was a bit bend and used. If you want to go back to the original configuration – fine, these parts are part of the deal and will be delivered with the watch, please see photos. This popular transitional model and successor of the famous 1680 has a sapphire crystal, without any scuffs, quickset date calibre 3035 movement, and unidirectional bezel. Bracelet is a 93150 with 11 endlinks, divers extension, moderate stretch and clasp code I9, dating it back to 1984 – interesting, bracelet is older than the watch itself. I guess this came original with the watch as Rolex had some old stock to get rid of .
Case and bracelet have been polished before, but are still in very good fat condition. Reference and serial are clearly legible between the lugs.
Watch is delivered with it’s original 68.00.55 box, carton cover box, Rolex service papers, service invoice, Rolex service pouch, ancor, exchanged Tritium handset and bezel inlay.
Verdict: A coherent 16800 set with service papers and original bracelet. Exchanged handset and inlay are coming with the watch. A great daily wearer. Sold on behalf of one of my customers.
