Rolex Submariner 16800 light tropical matte dial | Rolex service

I am offering a beautiful Rolex Submariner 16800 transitional model with serial 753xxxx, dating it back to 1982/83, in good overall condition and amazingly perfect matte dial. This popular transitional modeland successor of the famous 1680 has a sapphire crystal, without any scuffs, quickset date calibre 3035 movement, and unidirectional bezel.

Has a 93150 bracelet with eleven links, 593 endlinks and divers extension. Original bracelet has some stretch and a claspcode S J4 from 1985, but is in a overall good condition. Serial and reference are clearly visible between the lugs. Casback has two watchmaker signs, of which one appears to be Rolex Geneva, dated 1993. Hands and pearl have been replaced during a service to SL, but they are almost color matching. Best part of this watch is the mint matte Tritium dial. Interestingly the 16800 had four different matte dial variations. This is an example of the Mk II dial, easily characterized by the uneven “=” symbol in the depth rating. All luminous is in perfect condition, aged in a beautiful vanilla tone. Dial also has no damage, depending on the lighting condition and light quality color appears from matte black to a slight brownish tone.

This Rolex Submariner 16800 winds smoothly, runs on high amplitude and is back fron a recent Rolex service with service card.
