Introduced in 1986, this exceptionally rare Rolex Datejust “Chevrolet”, Ref. 16018 was created to celebrate Chevrolet’s 75 years anniversary in the car business. The patterned dial featuring the iconic Chevrolet ‘bow tie’ symbol with diamond hour markers. Since a 75th anniversary is also referred to as a “diamond anniversary”, the addition of ten diamond hour-markers is important. The brand’s signature is also engraved at the caseback of the watch together with the signature ‘Diamond Jubilee 1911-1986 Award. Rolex’s Jubilee 18K yellow gold bracelet with hidden clasp accentuates the jubilee anniversary. The timepiece was gifted only in very limited limited number to the best selling of Chevrolet dealers in the US. Overall condition is perfect. Case appears to be unpolished and the bracelet has an acceptable stretch for it’s age. Enclosed: box, punched papers, booklets and calendar 1986/87.
