This Rolex Sea-Dweller Double Red, ref. 1665 with MK3 dial and serial 3546XXX from 1972/73 is in amazing overall condition and has just been service through a Rolex AD. Starting with the dial: I have rarely seen a MK3 dial in such perfect, near mint condition. Luminous dots on a MK3 dial often have has a tendency break, crack and fall apart. Nothing like this here. Perfect luminous, both on dial and hands – no cracks, damages – nothing. The case is also in excellent fat condition with a great polish, but no polish has been performed during the recent service. I think it has been only slightly polished once in the past. Another cherry on the cake is the rare kissing 4 fat font bezel inlay in very good condition with it’s original Tritium pearl. The 93150 bracelet with 11 segments, divers extension and clasp code M6 (1988) is in good condition with reasonable stretch, ff course a later one and not originally delivered with this watch. I got this bracelet in with 380 endlinks, which is of course wrong, as the discerned collector would know. You’ll need 585 links for a 1665 Sea-Dweller. I’ve ordered a pair of 585 endlinks through my AD and are finally mounted on the watch.
This watch has received a complete movement service in March 2021 through a German AD for 1050€, but no polish of the case and bracelet has been made. Original receipt and the dealer’s 1 year warranty card (with serial) is included.
