Another of my favourite Rolex… One of the most underestimated Rolex diver watches, a Rolex 16660, Triple Six from 1984 with SN: 844xxxx and recent Rolex service. As the successor of the famous and well known Sea Dweller 1665, often called as a transitional reference, this was the first Rolex divers watch to have a sapphire crystal installed and offers a diving depth rating of 4000ft. As a tool watch for deep sea divers, this was obviously a practical and impressive feature. The improved water depth rating was thanks in part to a larger helium escape valve (HEV). Also having the new movement Caliber 3035 installed, which replaced the Caliber 1570 of the previous Sea-Dweller. I do really have a crush on this reference.
This watch: has a Tritium gloss dial with white gold indices, turned matte throughout the dial from aging process, looks like tiny „crates“ spread all over on the dial surface. Case is in excellent, unworn condition with all stickers on the watch after the recent service. 83160 bracelet and 592 endlinks in very good condition with very moderate stretch, also detailed during the service. Black paint writings on outer caseback are still there and not worn.
Has received a full Rolex Service in July 2019 and comes with the Rolex service pouch and service card and years of Rolex Service guarantee.
Of course running within COSC and has a 2 years service guarantee through Rolex and tested for waterproofness up to it’s depth rating!!! A perfect toolwatch for every day and ready to wear.
Watch has been imported from the US, all taxes and duties paid, so price includes 19% VAT. Net sale ex EU is possible.
